Thank you so much all of you who wrote letters to the board regarding the need to change the time and date of the CCA annual meeting. The BOD had a conference call on Tuesday at 7:00 pm, November 11, 2007 and officially changed the meeting date and time to Friday 8:30pm (after the puppy match) for our Fall National Specialty. Yay! The members voice was heard.

Now we need your help again. When the vote was taken to DQ merle, AKC informed the BOD that the vote was not valid. The board NEVER officially notified the members. We heard gossip...but never anything official. Now the standard revisions are being held up because we need to wait until March 31 (the end of our 90 grace period) to make sure all membership dues have been paid and everyone is a current member. AKC has informed our BOD that this is the best thing to to. We, the members, have not been officially notified. We need to be notified. If you agree, please write a letter to the members of the BOD or copy and paste the letter below in an email and send it to our board members with your name on it. Please let the board know that you want to be aware of what they are doing. They are accountable to the members who elected them. Thank you again, for your help! Go members of CCA!

Dear esteemed members of the CCA board,

Members of CCA that are in good standing, need to be notified of what you are doing and what correspondence is coming to you from AKC at this critical time in our clubs history. We were not officially notified by the board that the merle DQ that was voted on and passed by our membership, was not valid at AKC. We have not been notified of current correspondence with AKC telling us to wait until March 31st, 2008 to vote on our standard revisions. We are members and we need to know. The yahoo groups announcement list could have been used for this. It would have been a good medium. Also, the website should have had these important announcements on the first page. Thank you for listening to your members.
